Shipping policy
At Kiln Dried Hardwood, we are committed to providing reliable and efficient delivery services throughout the UK. We partner with a third-party pallet distribution network to ensure your orders are delivered promptly. All nationwide deliveries of pallets and logs are made using lorries equipped with tail-lifts.
Delivery Process
- Pallet Handling: Your goods will be lowered from the lorry via the tail-lift and placed on your property where possible, using a pallet truck.
- Surface Requirements: The pallet truck requires a flat, smooth, and solid surface to operate. It cannot move over soft or uneven surfaces such as gravel, grass, or steep gradients.
- Access Restrictions: Our delivery vehicles do not have cranes and cannot lift goods over obstacles like fences, walls, or hedges.
Delivery Times and Charges
Online delivery is currently available for PH1, PH2 and PH3 postcode areas only.
Local Delivery (PH1, PH2, PH3)
Delivery timeframe: Typically 2–4 working days
Delivery charge: £35 per unit
VAT on delivery: Charged at 20% and added at checkout
The delivery charge applies per unit, meaning multiple units in a single order will incur a corresponding delivery cost.
Nationwide Delivery (By Quotation)
We can arrange nationwide delivery outside PH1, PH2 and PH3; however, delivery times and charges will vary depending on location and order size.

Important Notes
- All delivery charges shown are exclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise
- Delivery Acceptance: Ensure someone is available to accept the delivery at the scheduled time. If no one is present, a re-delivery fee may apply.
- Special Circumstances: If your property has steep gradients or restricted access, please inform us in advance to arrange suitable delivery options.
- Delivery Times: Deliveries may take up to 5 working days, especially in remote areas. During peak seasons like Christmas, we recommend placing orders early to avoid delays.
- Nationwide delivery is handled on a case-by-case basis to ensure the most accurate pricing
Kerbside Delivery Service
- We provide kerbside delivery using a third-party pallet distribution network to cover the UK. Deliveries are made using a lorry equipped with a tail-lift. The goods are lowered to the ground and positioned where possible using a pallet truck. Please note that pallet trucks cannot move over soft or uneven surfaces such as gravel or grass. Deliveries require a smooth and flat surface for safe and efficient positioning.
- Our delivery vehicles do not have cranes and cannot lift goods over fences, walls, or hedges.
Collection
- Customers may opt to collect their order directly from our depot at Ruthvenfield Rd, Inveralmond Industrial Estate, Perth, PH1 3EE.
- All payments must be completed via our website before collection. Upon arrival, our team will load your vehicle using a forklift.
- If you choose to unpack the logs from crates to fit into your vehicle, you must manage this process yourself and ensure that all crate waste is removed from our premises.
